With spring relaunch just around the corner, you’ll be glad to know that your pride and joy will be in the safest hands. Our yard team is highly skilled in the manoeuvring and lifting of vessels of all shapes and sizes with the greatest of care – while making it look easy.
This year we welcome our newest member to the yard team Roberto all the way from Acapulco, Mexico. Rob has a wealth of experience in the marine industry and boat handling sector having previously worked for Premier Marinas in Brighton for many years. He relocated to Falmouth with his girlfriend last year and is glad he made the move: “Mylor reminds me of home, its a beautiful place to be. Relocating to Falmouth was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made and getting the job at Mylor harbour has been an added bonus. The team here are great and there’s a really friendly atmosphere across the whole company, everyone has made me feel really welcome.”
When he’s not lifting boats for a living, Rob likes to sail his 22ft Newbridge Venturer ‘Aneth’ around the Carrick Roads and the Fal Estuary. He has a genuine interest is boats and spending time on the water so if you see him out and about give him a wave.
Services Manager Spencer (Spike) Riley says: “Rob has made a great start in the few months he has been with the yard department. Having a similar marine background has made this an easy transition for him and the team. The yard team have welcomed Rob from day one; he has brought some of his own ideas and experiences with him as well as adapting to the way the yard guys operate – they say he’s an excellent team member.”
Welcome to the Mylor family Roberto!
